Courtney's House Reborn

After close to 10 yrs in our little home we decided it was time for a bigger one.

We looked at moving on. Other established homes needed too much work and new home suburbs were too far away from everything and the houses built too close together.

We liked this area, the school and had made a good circle of friends over that time.

So we took the best of both worlds.

A new home in an old area.

Hi all, I was in the middle of posting yesterday when a massive storm hit Perth!!! We lost power for 21hrs. So much water fall in 1hr that my rental had water coming through the walls and flooded the kids two back rooms and the study when water poured in the sliding door. Nice way to break a drought.

On Friday arvo the brickies had layed out a full row of bricks around the house. Also set up the corners. When visiting on Friday arvo I forgot my camera. Thought I would go back on the weekend and take some photos. I never got there. DD1 had a scary accident on a bouncy castle and we spent most of Sat night in children's hospital getting her checked over. Every thing is OK.

Sunday went to two parties.
Then Monday back in hospital for another check-up.
We have power.....

By Monday arvo the wall to the left of the house has a whole external wall (face bricks) in progress.
Man, the brickies are moving quick.

Then the storm hit.
Went to site today - see 2nd post.
